Track Messages in Channels

Once in a channel, Paco will immediately get to work. Let's learn about how Paco can track and follow up on asks in channels.

Method 1: Tag @paco in any message

Hey @Alex I’m waiting on the product specs @paco

Paco will confirm that it is tracking the message -- i.e. it will send a daily reminder to you and anyone else tagged in the message.

Since this message is public to the channel, your team can see the ask in the web app.

Suggestion: This method is best for questions and requests you make to your team. This method only works in public and private channels where Paco is added.

Method 2: "Add to Paco" from the actions menu

Click on the message's 'More actions' menu and select 'Add to Paco'

This ask is private and your team won't be able to see that you are tracking this message in the web app.

This method is best for tracking messages sent by others, or older messages. This is the only method that works in Direct Messages.

Method 3: Do nothing! Paco has a magic mode

In the Paco Smart-Track mode (currently under beta), Paco will automatically identify potential asks in the channels that it has been added to, and quietly prompt you if that needs to be tracked.

Since this message is public to the channel, your team can see the ask in the web app.

This method is great for your team to get started. Paco will nudge anyone in the channel where it is added when they send a message that looks like an ask.
